Welcome to my kitchen!
Ten years ago, I left the vibrant markets of Mexico for the rolling vineyards of France. My family and friends stayed behind — scattered across continents — and this blog became my way to shrink the distance. Every recipe I post is a postcard from my everyday life: a quick, veggie-packed dinner whipped up after a long shift, or a weekend pastry experiment that fills the house with buttery warmth.
Here, you’ll find healthy, flavor-first dishes that lean heavily on vegetables, whole foods, and good fats — nothing complicated, everything doable on a weeknight.
Come cook with me, pin what catches your eye, and say hello whenever you like — I read every comment and answer every email.
Bienvenidos!

About Me
I’m Ornella — cook, traveler, and the voice behind this blog.
I grew up in Mexico surrounded by color: chiles drying in the sun, vendors shouting, my abuela’s comal always hot and the smell of fresh tortillas in the air. Food was love, noise, and memory all at once.
Ten years ago, I traded that chaos for the quieter French lifesyle. I landed in a Michelin-starred kitchen, where I spent eight years learning precision, restraint, and how to make a single carrot taste like a revelation. Now, I’m stepping into pastry — chasing the magic of butter, sugar, and time.
This space is where those worlds meet.
Here, you’ll find the food I actually cook after a 10-hour shift: veggie-heavy, flavor-packed, ready in under 30 minutes. No sous-vide machines. No truffle shavings. Just good ingredients, treated well.
I share these recipes for my family scattered across Mexico, the U.S., and beyond — a digital dinner table where distance disappears. And for you, too. Whether you’re a busy parent, a curious home cook, or just hungry, pull up a chair.
Let’s cook simple and eat well.
Love, Ornella
